My name is Sarah Cliffe, I am a fully qualified and insured Clinical Reflexologist and Reiki Practitioner. My aim is to provide a service which enhances both the physical and mental health of my clients, utilising the complementary therapies of Reflexology, Reiki, and Aromatherapy. To help my clients achieve maximum benefit from their treatments, I provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere in my beautiful treatment room which is nestled in the Cheshire countryside.
Today’s world can be so hectic especially as I write this in 2020, stress, anxiety, deadlines, juggling parenting with work or caring for other family members, social distancing, and a lack of that all-important physical contact. Its sometimes hard to find a balance. We often find our own well-being at the bottom of the list and then wonder why our health suffers, that’s where I come in, regular holistic therapy can act as a form of preventative healthcare, encouraging relaxation and healing in the body boosting the immune system, eliminating toxins and maintaining the body’s natural balance. I know all too well that Life can be so overwhelming at times, that it’s hard to know when to stop, take a breath and think about yourself for a change. Its so important to look after your mental and emotional well-being.
I completed my level 5 Mastership Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology. It is the highest level of Reflexology training in the UK. This training included NEPIP, Fertility, Maternity and post pregnancy, Meridians, Palliative and Cancer Care, as well as much more.
“Restoring balance in Physical & Mental Health”
More of us than ever are choosing to take a more natural and holistic approach to our health and well-being. I am passionate about enabling my clients to do this, treating the whole body in order to get to the root cause of their symptoms or condition, ensuring that any change is long-term or permanent.
All of my therapies are extremely gentle, making them suitable for anyone of any age - and for whatever stage they are at in their lives. What unites them all is their holistic approach in treating the whole body rather than just the symptoms, condition, or situation.
My clients come to me for a variety of reasons; some because they need the time out to relax and recharge, but many because they are facing conditions, symptoms or situations that they want support with, please see my reviews.
Why not try one of the following specialist reflexology treatments that are available:
Clinical Reflexology
Reflexology is a holistic/complimentary therapy based on the belief that there are reflex areas in the hands, feet and face which are believed to correspond to all organs and parts in the body. There are over 7000 nerve endings in the feet. Working on an individual basis reflexology may alleviate and improve symptoms such as everyday stress and tension.
During your first session a medical history will be taken, shoes and socks will be removed then you will take a seat in my comfortable lafuma chair. People worry about how their feet look; it really doesn’t matter. Once in the chair I wipe the feet with warm cloths to remove any bits, fluff off socks etc. It's also a chance to have a good look at the feet, notice any tension or heat difference.
Reflexology is one of the world’s oldest complementary therapies and has its routes in all the ancient civilisations of the world. While it is only now that the benefits of reflexology are beginning to be scientifically assessed, initial research is indicating that it can have positive benefits for a wide range of conditions and situations.
By gently pressing or massaging key areas of the hands or feet that relate to corresponding areas of the body, I work with the body’s unique ability to bring itself back into balance naturally, encouraging positive changes to situations and conditions on a physical, emotional and mental level.
Though there is not yet a large enough body of evidence to make scientific claims about the benefits of reflexology, there is some research beginning to take place that is showing positive results. All I can really be sure of are the benefits experienced by my clients. Often after a treatment people feel more relaxed and less tense, some find that they sleep better and that their mood and sense of well-being is improved. After a series of treatments these benefits can be more profound with many finding that their physical, mental, and emotional health has improved enormously.
If you want to find out more about how reflexology might be able to help you or a member of your family, then please contact me for a confidential chat on 07854882902 or use the contact form
Reflexology is suitable for all ages, including babies and children, and there are very few situations in which reflexology is not suitable, including during pregnancy. And, you don’t need to feel unwell or under the weather to have reflexology; the treatment is a great for the mind, body and soul, however you feel, providing regular maintenance to promote continued health and well-being.
My treatments are always tailored to you, and I take a holistic approach by looking at physical, emotional, and environmental factors that may be affecting your well-being. I, along with any professionally trained reflexologist, will never claim to cure, diagnose, or prescribe, and we work alongside conventional medical treatment - never against or in place of.
A typical reflexology session lasts around an hour, although your first session will be longer as we will have a consultation before beginning your treatment. During the consultation we will talk about what has brought you to reflexology, which will involve a discussion about your lifestyle, diet, and medical history. This consultation is important as it enables me to fully understand any health concerns, conditions, and situations that may be affecting you, and it allows both of us to gain a better understanding of how reflexology might be able to help.
This is then followed by the treatment - you will normally relax back in my reflexology chair (a couch is also available), and I will work on your bare feet. I always warm the feet with hot towels, I do this to remove any fluff and warm the feet ready for the treatment. Alternatively I can work on your hands.
Most people benefit from more than one reflexology treatment, but different people respond in different ways, as do the different conditions and situations that you might be seeking help for, as well as how long they have been present - i.e. is it recent or has it been on-going for some time? Although I will indicate what I think the frequency and number of treatments are that you would benefit from at the end of your first treatment, we will work together to agree the best treatment plan for you.

Reflexology Lymphatic drainage (RLD)
Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. According to Cancer Research UK (2011), the lifetime risk of developing it in the UK is 1:8 for women and 1:1014 for men. Approximately 20% of these patients develop secondary lymphoedema of the arm following treatment for breast cancer.
Lymphoedema is defined as tissue swelling due to the failure of lymph drainage. After breast cancer a person may experience psychological or emotional difficulties due to altered body image, and a swollen limb can exacerbate this. Research suggests that survivors with lymphoedema are more likely to suffer psychological and emotional difficulties, be more disabled, and experience a poorer quality of life than survivors without the condition. Improved breast cancer survival rates suggest that approximately 2:3 women survive the disease beyond 20 years. This means that more people are living longer with this debilitating side effect for which there is currently no cure.
Lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) is used to treat conditions other than lymphoedema, RLD maybe used similarly. MLD may be useful with the following conditions:

AROMAREFLEX
"Using essential oils to maintain/and or improve the health of the mind, body, spirit"
Shirley Price
AromaReflex is a combination of Reflexology and Aromatherapy. During your consultation, we decide on which oils suit your need most. I will then give you several options as its important you like the smell. I then blend the chosen oils with either a cream or wax. We use this to do the treatment, you take the rest home to use at your leisure. Other products can be an aroma inhaler, which are great for stress, anxiety, hormones.
I mainly use Neal's Yard essential oils. Essential oils are found in tiny glands on the outside, or deep inside the roots, wood, leaves, flowers, or fruits. One-way essential oils enter the body is through absorption.
I use high quality essential-oils within all my treatments. The benefits of these oils are endless so here is just a taster about what some of my favourite oils can support:

Meaning universal life force. Energy is part of everything and in everyone. Reiki is a non-intrusive therapy. It will support positive choices promoting a feeling of deep relaxation, enabling a greater inner harmony, balance and well-being. Reiki works wherever you need it most, gently releasing blocked energies and toxins, creating a state of harmony and balance within mind, body and spirit.
Reiki healing treatments will start with an initial consultation to discuss medical issues and any issues relevant. Treatments take place on the couch, you remain fully clothed, with a blanket if you wish, treatments are carried out by placing hands on or over the body.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a very gentle, non-invasive healing technique, carried out by a specifically trained practitioner placing their hands on or over a person with the intent to channel Reiki energy. It can also be sent as absent healing, over a distance and even through time. Reiki is not a form of massage and no manipulation takes place, the practitioner will simply place their hands on or near the body, as the energy flows through them.
Questions.
Why would I need Reiki?
People are born with the natural ability to heal and repair themselves, which is suppressed when they become energetically out of balance. When energetic blockages build up, due to stress in one form or another, the flow of vital energy around the body is disrupted. This impacts on the effectiveness and efficiency of all systems of the body and the immune system is also weakened, leaving them vulnerable to illness and disease.
How does Reiki Work?
Reiki works by clearing energetic blockages and restoring the natural energy flow around the body by re-balancing the major energy centres, commonly known as the chakras. This is achieved by a Reiki practitioner channelling a flow of universal life force energy through their hands to the recipient, which stimulates their natural healing ability, giving them a calming, relaxing and peaceful experience.
How can Reiki help you?
Reiki is beneficial in helping with an overall feeling of well-being or a specific injury or illness such as: Stress, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, Asthma, Eczema, Headaches, Sciatica, Back Pain, Joint Pain, Muscle Pain, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, IBS, Digestive Disorders, Sports Injuries, Post-Operative Recovery and during mentally and emotionally difficult times such as bereavement. Our experience is that Reiki is extremely effective in helping newly diagnosed cancer patients manage their fear. When used alongside conventional medicine in cancer support and palliative care, we have found it can also help patients to cope better with the physical and emotional effects of their condition.
The Treatment - what happens
To begin with, you will have a consultation with the practitioner to discuss how you are feeling, what your situation is, and what you hope to achieve. Your Reiki treatment will be carried out on our luxury couch in a warm, quiet, peaceful, and safe space enabling you to feel, comfortable and at ease. You will remain fully clothed during the treatment except for shoes and jewellery.
The practitioner will place their hands in various positions, directly on the body or hovering above. The hands are held for approximately three minutes in each place before moving onto the next one. The positions used may be a set of fixed positions that the practitioner always uses or they may use their intuition to guide them on what will work best.
Your first session will last about 90 minutes, allowing time for the consultation and for you to enjoy the treatment without feeling rushed, subsequent treatments will last about an hour.
What does Reiki feel like?
It is hard to say how each individual will feel during a Reiki treatment as we are all different. However, it is possible that you may experience any of the following sensations: a feeling of euphoria, heaviness, warmth, waves of soothing energy, tingling or see bright lights or colours. Some people experience an emotional release and others feel nothing at all, but this does not mean that the Reiki is ineffective.
How often do I need a treatment?
The benefits of Reiki can be experienced after just one treatment. For a positive effect on long term health problems, it is most likely that a course of treatments will be required. We recommend having treatments on a regular basis to support you in maintaining good health and a feeling of well-being. I have various packages tailored to suit your needs but can create a personal and flexible plan for you if required.

The therapeutic use of essential oils. Essential oils are extracted from flowers, trees, shrubs, leaves, stems and roots. These carefully blended essential oils are massaged on to the skin and at the same time inhaled. Our sense of smell is directly linked to our brain and the aroma of the oils has an immediate affect on how we feel.
I don’t use pre-blended oils, I do use top quality essential oils from Oshadhi, Aromantic, and Neals Yard.
Aromatherapy massage can help
Although pregnancy is a wonderful time, many changes take place in the body which can put strain and pressure on the joints, ligaments and organs causing pain and discomfort. Regular pregnancy massages can help relieve these aches and pains. Research shows that the baby can greatly benefit from massage as endorphins (feel good hormones) are released by the mother during the massage which are passed to the baby.
Studies also show that women who receive regular massage have fewer complications during there pregnancy and birth. The babies are more settled and content, suffering fewer baby ailments.
During my case studies I made a body lotion for the abdomen to help with IBS, aromantic inhaler sticks for migraines, anxiety, and grief, roller balls to help with sleep and insomnia. Face creams for dry, oily combination skin. Showers gels to uplift the mood before work in the morning, bath foam gel for relaxation.
These bespoke products can be made for anyone on an individual basis with or without massage, a consultation is needed.
I will ask questions about your health, medical history, and lifestyle. This will help me decide which essential oils are most appropriate for you as an individual. This is really important, for example a client might be breast feeding, certain medication can interact with certain oils etc.
After selecting, smelling the oils with you (as it’s important that you like them) I will then blend appropriate oils with a carrier oil and proceed with massage or make a product to suit your needs.
Full body massage all clothing is removed, apart from pants, some clients feel more comfortable in shorts, entirely up to you.
With the back neck and shoulders, you can just remove clothing on your top half whatever you are comfortable with.

Of those clients who have ticklish feet, all have been surprised at how un-ticklish reflexology is - and remember that reflexology can also be performed on the hands.
I’ve had many clients who have described their feet as ‘disgusting’, ‘like trolls feet’, or who say, ‘I have the feet of a hobbit’: I’ve yet to find a case where this is actually true. Feet are wonderful things, whatever their condition, but if you are at all concerned then remember that reflexology can be done on your hands.
No: reflexology is not, and never will be, an alternative to medical diagnosis.
Again, the answer is no: reflexology can only help to restore harmony and balance within the mind, body and soul which encourages self-healing - a powerful tool.
Reflexology is never an alternative to medical advice. You should always seek the advice of your medical practitioner first, and for some medical conditions I will need confirmation from them that they are happy for you to receive reflexology. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you think that this might apply to you, or to discuss if reflexology is suitable for you.
Different people respond to reflexology in different ways, as do different conditions and situations that you might be seeking help for, as well as how long they have been present for - i.e. is it a recent thing or has it been ongoing for some time? Although I will indicate what I think the frequency and number of treatments you would benefit from at the end of your first appointment, I always work with you to find the best treatment plan for you.
For most people, their initial reaction is a feeling of deep relaxation and well-being, followed by a great night’s sleep! It is rare that people suffer an adverse reaction to reflexology, but I will provide you with details of after-care and possible reactions during your first session.
On leaving college with an Advanced Qualification in Health and Social Care, I worked at a nursing home and then in the community in Adult Social Care. I became a mum at 21 and again 3 years later. I had two daughters Beth and Emily and while they were growing up, I mainly worked with horses until 2013 when I decided to pursue the career I had always wanted within Holistic Care. Admittedly there have been a few ups and downs but I’m still here to tell the tale!
I first came across Aromatherapy as a young girl. I collected weekly magazines which had a different bottle of essential oil each week! I have loved them ever since. I believe Reiki found me just before needing it the most. I went from having never heard of it to training over several years which lead to me supporting myself, several family friends and clients. It’s a difficult one to explain but when people try it, they love it. I love using this with horses too, such a special therapy.
I believe life is like a roller coaster with its ups and downs, and then total upside downs. The start to my Reflexology journey was one of the total upside downs in my life. 2014 gave us, myself and my husband, a double dose of loss & grief and the hardest thing was not being able to “make it better”. People cope in different ways with all sorts of problems, not only through grief. Later that year I discovered Reflexology, again it seemed to find me. I started Reflexology treatments with a lovely lady in Whitchurch. You see my answer to grief was to work and work so hard I didn't have to think about how I was feeling, just carry on and not think about it. But then in December 2014 I had a fall off my horse which forced me to stop, rest and think about how I was feeling. I had put my pelvis out so I had no choice but to stop and deal with my feelings. Reflexology gave me strength. It gave me the nurture that I needed.
I have a passion for the holistic way of life. Reflexology, Reiki and Aromatherapy have made a massive difference in my life. I hope to start making a difference and providing support in my clients' lives too.

“Whilst visiting my daughter in Nantwich recently she introduced me to the most fantastic, relaxing foot and facial reflexology I have ever experienced.
Cocooned into a beautiful heated, extremely comfortable bed, Sarah proceeded to use luxurious, scented oils and there the magic began!
I had soon drifted off into a gorgeous deep slumber ( which rarely happens to me, with facials )
I can honestly say Sarah’s treatment was amazing - I very much look forward to my next visit to Nantwich for this pure ecstasy. I would highly recommend to anyone.

“I have had a number of treatments with Sarah such as aromatherapy massage, facial reflexology, foot reflexology, back and shoulder massages - all of which have been superb! My personal favourite is the facial reflexology which is so relaxing.
Sarah is a very warm and welcoming person who immediately puts you at ease when you walk into her lovely, cosy treatment room. She has a calming presence and I can fully relax during treatments. In fact I often fall asleep - which I have never done before! I always go out with the feeling that I am walking on air.
Sarah uses quality products that both smell and feel amazing and she is so knowledgeable about essential oils.
Sarah is highly talented and passionate about holistic treatments and she really cares. Highly recommended!

“The zonelift is fantastic. I have noticed a difference in my face shape and others have too. My fine lines have gone, my deep lines are smoother and not as deep, the lines by my cheeks I think these are called marionette lines are definitely not as deep, the red veins on my cheeks have gone and my jowls have significantly reduced. My skin has a more even tone and looks fresh and dewy. Everything you want from a non surgical treatment. I'm so happy with the results. Sarah cliffe is a beautiful person on the inside and out, she's so friendly and welcoming, it's a truly wonderful experience and I would highly recommend her and the zonelift the results are fantastic!! ”

Sandra Neild, 1st December 2021
“ After having a heart attack back in March this year 2021 I felt I needed some tlc and relaxation. So I book an initial appointment with Sarah to have a one off treatment of zone therapy and foot reflexology. From that very first appointment Sarah put me at my ease and made me feel very welcome.
Her treatment room was clean and cosy and very comfortable.
So it was very easy to relax, she had soft meditation music playing in the background with candles burning and wonderful aromatherapy smells filling the room. It was a treat for the senses.
After making me comfortable on the therapy bed , making sure I was well supported under my Knees, feet and head. She began by wrapping my face in a hot towel , after which she begin to clean my face and put a face mask on. While the mask was working she moved to my feet where again she wrapped them in hot towels, it felt fabulous and the treatment hadn't even started, she massaged them using oil and began the reflexology, it was so relaxing I immediately felt chilled out.
Then she moved to my face where she removed the mask, with such care and professionalism. The zone face lift treatment began, it did not disappoint, it was the most relaxing and wonderful hour and half .. Sarah did a wonderful job, her technique is so professional. The facial massage using her hands, and gua sha is incredible, it sends you into a total state of relaxation. To be honest that first session seems such along time ago now in fact over thirteen weeks it's difficult to remember it, I do know the way Sarah made me feel, I felt, relaxed, comfortable and in good confident hands… I think I fell asleep during that first appointment. Afterwards my skin felt so clean and soft. ….one word FABULOUS! I also remember having the best nights sleep that night.
I was so impressed with the experience, I decided to book the zone face lift 12 week course, this was a big deal for me as I was driving from My home in Woodsmoor an 86 mile round trip to Sarah in Wrenbury, a commitment I was happy to make. And so glad I did.
I absolutely loved every single week , the only downside.. it ended far to soon, that precious time flew by in a flash!
Every treatment I had was truly enjoyable, Sarah was always cheerful and calming, and always worked with such care and attention. She also made time for a little chat at the beginning and end of each session, it was never rushed. Sarah really made me feel she is genuinely interested in her clients well being, it's really hard not to like her. She's so easy going and pleasant.
Apart from the relaxation, I was hoping my complexion and face would look better, being a product junky and taking care of my face for many years I wasn't sure there would be much difference …. but as the weeks passed the texture and tone definitely improved as the photos show.
I'm absolutely delighted.
I will carry on my treatment with Sarah, once a month. I feel Sarah and I have formed a nice relationship and will miss my weekly appointments with her.
I would highly recommend Sarah and the treatments she offers, she is constantly training and improving both herself and her practise, during my time with Sarah, she ordered and took delivery of a new treatment bed so the sessions were even more comfortable, ( not that there was anything wrong with the bed she had… she just wanted an upgrade)…She is constantly striving to improve everything about her fabulous business.
If you are considering booking a treatment.. do not hesitate ! You will be in safe hands with Sarah!
Thank you Sarah and well done.

“ I started having reiki with Sarah in 2013, with having a busy large family it was my time to relax! I felt I had so much more energy and was a lot more relaxed after having the treatments. I continued to have reiki through my pregnancy which I felt helped with my exhaustion, nausea and back pain I was having. I was very excited when Sarah qualified as a Reflexologist, I enjoy my treatments and my children have also been and had treatments with Sarah too! She is brilliant with the children, my 7 year old so was anxious about his first session but as soon as he was in Sarah’s treatment room talking to Sarah who explained everything to him he absolutely loved it, at his next session was desperate to be the first one to go. I have had many treatments with Sarah, I manage to go for a reflexology treatment every fortnight. After the treatments I feel very relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommended

I hope that you will barely notice any difference in your treatments or in my treatment room as much of what I am required to do I was already doing before the new guidance was issued. However, to ensure we both feel safe and comfortable, there are a few changes I am required to put in place. These are summarised below, followed by a button to a more in-depth explanation. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to talk about any element of this in more detail.
You should arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time, and your appointment will last around 60 minutes.
Although I am required to wear either a visor or mask depending upon your treatment, as from 8th August 2020 you are required to wear a mask for your treatment - unless you fall into one of the exemption categories.
